It is still a work in progress, but my Facebook Fan Page is now live. Jo-Anne Gazo McKim was the first person outside of my family to Like me.

Finally took the plunge and started adding a Fan Page to Facebook for my photography. I am definitely slogging through the much at this point.
The advice on the Community Pages and the examples of other FAA community member's pages has been very helpful.
The link to the page is above and you are free to look at it but beware that it looks pretty sparse right now.
With that warning, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Rainy morning outside of Washington, DC and I have been spending most of the morning reading up on Facebook Fan pages -- what they are, how to use them, how to link them up to Fine Art America. Its a lot to take in. Hopefully I'll have something up and running soon.
Been looking over various FAA member's Fan pages and hope I can make mine look at least half as good as ther page.

I have not been very good about providing information on sales I have had but suffice it to say that I am having a good year.
There is a link to my recent sale. A photograph of wooden doors in Bratislava. It was purchased by someone in Omaha, Nebraska.

Someone bought a print from me today. I think they were from Trumbull CT. Sure wish they had left a note and I wish I had a way to thank them.
It's the Warehouse Wooden Door photo

I was at a photo lecture last night and one thing that struck me was that I really need to get rid of some of the photographs I have here. I easily deleted about 20. There was nothing wrong with the photos, per se, but there was neither anything particularly special about any one of them nor were they the kind of photos that anyone would want to buy.'
I am still going to go through the portfolio again and see what else I can winnow out.
Any suggestions?

The past couiple of months I have been posting a "Photograph of the Week" At first I did it on my Facebook page and more recently I have copied it as a tweet.
The reaction to the twitter posting is phenomenal. I posted this photo about 20 minutes ago (it's not 3:45 pm on April 21) and I have already abouit 20 hits from that posting.
If you want to follow me on twiiter, I am tommmd

Hello to whoever you are. Drop me a note if you get a chance.

A few weeks ago I sold copy of Infinity Pool to someone from Cleveland. They bought a fairly large stretched canvas framed print. I probably should buy one myself to see what they look like. I do know the paper prints look awesome from Fine Art America.
I wish there were a way that I could send a "Thank You" to people who buy some of my photographs.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. May the joy of this season carry on within us the whole year through.
And, the best to everyone for the New Year. May 2010 be a prosperous and healthy for us.
And to the administrators of Fine Art America, thank you for a wonderful venue for us to show off our art.

I just found Fine Art America a few days ago via a notice in a photography bulletin board I frequent.
Very pleased with the look and feel of it. I expect I'll fill up my 100 items quota. I think what I'll do than is periodically evaluate what I have and rotate the pieces.
We'll see.
I've already received very nice comments from Samantha GIlbert and Songs of Thunder. I will comment back to them this weekend!
(I also noticed some typos in my entries which I need to fix.)
